A coverage model is usually inherited rather than designed. Sites get added, a call rotation gets patched, a ratio gets agreed in a meeting nobody minuted — and years later the model in force is not the one anybody would choose, and no single person can describe it end to end.
We map what is actually being covered: which sites and rooms, by whom, at what care-team mix, with what ratios, and how call and relief are carried. Then we set that against the list you actually run, rather than the one the contract assumes.
The output is the coverage model on one page, with the places it does not fit the schedule marked. Some of those cost money and some of them cost people, and they are rarely the same places.
Who asks for this
Leaders who inherited a coverage model: sites added one at a time, a call rotation patched after a resignation, a care-team ratio agreed in a meeting nobody can find. The contract still describes the original model. The schedule does not.
It is also the review to run before a 1099 CRNA proposal or an employment conversion, because both are answers to a coverage question. The staffing change is not the diagnosis.
What you leave with
The coverage model on one page: sites, rooms, who covers them, at what mix and ratio, and how call and relief are carried. The places that model does not fit the list you actually run are marked. Some of those cost money. Some cost people. They are rarely the same places.
Where the fit is close, the recommendation is to adjust the model with the group you have. A search for a new group is the recommendation only when the current one cannot cover the schedule you intend to keep running.
